Family Foto Fancies::All About Mama's::

We are back!
And this month we are all about Mama's.
Mama's are normally behind the camera taking pictures of our sweet faces.
So, how about a photo session dedicated to just us!

To get dressed up in a fun spring-y outfit and pose around down town
would be so fun and freeing.
This would be my ideal outfit for my photo session,
and I think I would love to have my photos taken down at Vinoy Park
in St. Pete or anywhere downtown really, it is always so pretty down there
it it makes a great backdrop with no extra work.

Spring Essentials

You can't go wrong with a bright statement necklaces and pretty accessories.
Accessories can totally make a photo stand out depending on what you pick out with your outfit
make sure the accessory you pick isnt too overbearing though.
You don't want it to take away from your pretty face.

If you have been wanting to get photos of just you but just have not gotten around to it,
do it now!
Why not?!
But you may want to hurry because Christina gets booked up really quick,
so hop on the computer and book your session now.

Family Foto Fancies::Mommy & Me::

Christina and I are back for April's Family Foto Fancies,
and this month we want to feature all of our Mama's.
Especially since Mother's Day is around the corner this post would be the
perfect gift to yourself.

The perfect time to get some great photos of your family are during the spring time when the weather is gorgeous out.

And to give you another excuse to maybe change some things up a bit, Mother's Day is coming up.
Since Mama's are the ones normally taking the pictures,
it's time for you to get in front of the camera.

Mommy and Me Spring Photo Shoot

Throw on your pretty spring Maxi dress and some flip flops,
dress your kids in a cute spring-y outfit and hit the park or beach
and let your photographer do all the work.

Get some fun action shots with playing with your kids as well
as the traditional poses.
You will not regret taking these gorgeous photos
and will have them for years to come.
You can even gift them to your Mother for Mother's Day and have
some keepsakes for yourself.

Family Foto Fancies::Non Traditional Holiday Cheer::

Merry Christmas to our Family Foto Fancie readers!
Can you believe that it's almost here!!
Let the countdown begin...only 7 more days!

Typically when you think of colors for Christmas you think about red and green.
However, it's time to step outta that Christmas box and into the new and upcoming trends of
bright pinks, lime greens, turquoise blues, oranges and golds!!
These fun colors give a new and fun twist on the holidays.

These fun colors look amazing photographed and would make a very fun Christmas card.
And since these colors are so in right now you could even use your professional pictures as your family pictures to use throughout the year.

Please enjoy your Christmas, hug your loved ones tight and remember the real reason for Christmas.
Happy Birthday Jesus!

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Family Foto Fancies::Capturing the Memories::

Capturing the Memories-Fall

With Thanksgiving right around the corner
Nap Time Is The New Happy Hour
and
Christina Higman Photography
want to give you some fashion and photography tips on
How to Capture The Memories This Thanksgiving
Each and every holiday is such a blessing and you want to
make sure you capture those moments with your family.

Some photos that I suggest that are "must have" fall holiday pictures are:

A picture of the delicious turkey.

Pies, pies and more pies.

The endless amounts of food.

The crazy kitchen mess.

The gorgeous tablescape.

Individual place setting.

Any family heirlooms used throughout the day.

Family portrait.

Mommy and Daddy.

Just the kids.

The holiday atmosphere, fall leaves, crisp air, sunshine.

The after naps.

The men enjoying football.

The never ending hugs and love.

And any decor to make the day extra special.

The week before try and plan out your families outfits so that everyone is matching in some sort of way.
This will make photos look all that more memorable.
Plus, that is one less thing that you have to worry about on the day of Thanksgiving.
I would suggest to pick dark fall colors to compliment the holiday.
Make sure your outfits are comfortable, you will be doing a lot of hustle and bustling around and the last thing you want is for you and your family to be uncomfortable on such a speical day.

Enjoy this Thanksgiving with your families.

Family Foto Fancies::Fall Is In The Air::

It's October
and Fall is in the air.
It's time for pumpkins,
cold weather,
jackets, sweaters, scarves,
changing colors of the leaves,
and don't forget about your family photo shoot.

If you are local in the Tampa Bay Are,
the beautiful and talented Christina Higman can book a shoot for you.
Her photos would beautiful on the annual Christmas card.

I have put together some fall inspired outfits for the whole family.
And what is great is that the outfits all coordinate
without being too matchy.
 Notice the yummy fall colors.

Fall Photoshoot

The "adult" look is probably my favorite.
The boots add the extra kick of a Fall flare.

Every couple should have a nice photo of two of them.
A nice warm wool blanket would add a perfect romantical touch to this fall photoshoot.

Kids Fall Photoshoot Fashions

The kids look is pretty easy.
A nice sweater dress with some tights, and again boots, and long sleeves
will make any outfit feel like fall.

Wouldn't some frockling in a pumpkin patch be fun?!
The kids would love it and it would be ther perfect setting for a family shoot.

Please feel free to email Christina or I with any additional questions

or to book a shoot with Christina.

Family Foto Fancies::Putting the Fun In Photo Shoots::

Family Foto Fancies
is back and more fun than ever!
Christina Higman of Christina Higman Photography
has one creative eye.
In picking out this edition we decided on a more fun and whimsical idea for a photo shoot.
And her ideas and photos do not disappoint.

For example,
what little girl wouldn't love to run around in an open field with a tutu and fairy wings?!
And the shot with the girls Mama are pure sweetness.
And when you add in some bubbles, balloons, and sweet treats,
it is sure to make for some adorable photos.

The tent just might be my personal favorite.
Think of your kiddos frolicking around with a big batch of balloons in hand
and peeking out of that adorable little tent.
This would be the perfect boy shoot.
The girls can have their fairies and the boys can have the tent.

For some additional items to bring to your photoshoot
to add a touch of fun we sugguest:

-bubbles
-balloons
-big lolipops
-popsicles
-ice cream cones
-cupcakes
-tent
-picnic blanket
-tea set
-costumes
-water balloons
-water guns

Please feel free to email Christina or I with any additional questions
or to book a shoot with Christina.

Family Foto Fancies

With school being out and parents having a bit more time to spend with their children,
it's the perfect time to document your family.
What better way to do that than with a photo shoot?!

Christina Higman is an amazing photographer in the St. Petersburg, Florida area
and she is here to give you a tip on how to make a photo shoot extra special for
your toddler or young child.

And,
I am here to help you out on outfit selections for the big day.

Christina's tip is,
"Sometimes it's fun to allow a child to bring along something they love,
For example, it might be meaningful to let the child have a couple pictures at the end of the session with their favorite, ragged, blanket or their dirty stuffed animal that goes everywhere. I would keep it a secret until the end though so kids don't whine for it the entire time."

With that in mind,
I made a board to reflect a summery photo shoot
with some cute Jelly Cat animals.

Bring Something Special

Bring Something Special by cheryl-enlow on polyvore.com

Just think how precious the photos will turn out when they have that
little special something with them to love on.
It will be perfect to document that phase in their life.
Plus, they will love to look back on the memories.

So tell us,
what is your child's favorite lovie or toy?
What toy is so speical to them that they will light up
when you bring it to the photo shoot with you?
